Our experienced surgeons are happy to help to change the lives of anyone who desires our services. Whether you are seeking a breast lift surgery as a result of pregnancy, weight fluctuation, aging, hereditary reasons, or just gravity, we have the solutions to improve your life and your confidence. In the last 20 years, the popularity of breast lift surgery has increased by 70 percent, which serves as a testament to the efficacy of these procedures.
What is a Breast Lift Surgery?
The technical term for a breast lift is mastopexy, which involves a series of incisions that are designed to remove excess skin from the breast area, ultimately rejuvenating the breasts and making them more symmetrical, youthful, and appealing. Typically, breast lift surgeries will also reduce the size of the areola if it has become enlarged over time. This simple procedure can have extraordinary results, giving back the confidence you are seeking through firmer and more precisely contoured breasts.
Life-changing results are often achieved by repositioning the nipples in relation to the shape and size of the breasts. Sometimes, the nipples will begin to turn downward over time, taking away from the shape you may have once had. This can be fixed with a simple outpatient breast lift surgery from Premier Plastic Surgery. It may be important to note that a breast lift surgery will not noticeably increase or decrease the size of the breasts. If this type of result is what you are seeking, it may be beneficial to explore our breast augmentation or reduction surgery options.
Who Benefits Most From a Breast Lift?
Typically, the type of women who seek out and benefit from breast lift surgery include those who have recently gone through pregnancy and breastfeeding, those who have lost an extraordinary amount of weight, or women who have experienced sagging breasts due to aging or other naturally occurring factors. Additionally, if you are simply looking to re-beautify your breasts and give them a rejuvenated, perky shape, you are a prime candidate for a breast lift surgery.
If you have recently moved past the breastfeeding stage in motherhood and are looking to reduce the stretch and sag that can result from pregnancy, you may want to consider a breast lift. Our surgeons can give you back the beautiful shape that you once enjoyed, leaving you feeling gorgeous and more confident.
Women who have gone through a recent transformation via drastic weight loss should also consider breast lift surgery, as the shape and appearance of your breasts may have had an adverse reaction to the change in volume. At Premier Plastic Surgery, we can give your breasts the proper treatment to match your newly achieved figure.
Questions to Ask Yourself When Considering a Breast Lift
Before committing to a breast lift surgery, it is important to take time to consider your desired results in terms of what you are looking to improve. These procedures, while vastly beneficial, should be carefully considered before moving forward. There are a series of questions that you should ask yourself prior to scheduling your breast lift surgery with Premier Plastic Surgery.
Am I happy with the size and fit when wearing a bra?
This may be the first question you ask yourself before doing any research into breast lift surgery. If you are unhappy with the way that your breasts fit into a bra, whether it be the size, fit, shape, or any other factor, a breast lift may be the right move. We offer a variety of different techniques to give you the look and feel that you desire.
Are my breasts asymmetrical or oddly shaped?
If your confidence has been shaken because of your breasts appearing to be mismatched in size or shape, this procedure is for you. One of the most common reasons why women seek out breast lift surgery is because one breast is larger, higher, or simply does not match the other. If your appearance has been hindered because of asymmetrical breasts, consider allowing us to provide a solution with a breast lift.
Do my nipples appear to point downward?
If the years have resulted in a gradual downturn of your nipples, a breast lift is the perfect fix for such a problem. Whether it is caused by sagging or another reason, downward pointing nipples is a common issue that pushes women to consider breast lift surgeries. By reshaping and lifting the breasts, we can fix this problem and return your nipples to the outward direction they once had.
Do my areolas sit below the crease of my breasts?
Sometimes, due to a variety of reasons, the areolas will stretch and enlarge far enough to pass the crease at the bottom of the breast. This is not desirable for most women and is generally a great reason to consider a breast lift surgery. By removing excess skin and lessening the size of the areola, our surgeons can give you the beautiful, perky breasts that you desire.
All of these issues, along with others, can be reconciled through a breast lift surgery or other form of breast rejuvenation procedure. At Premier Plastic Surgery, we will hear all of your concerns to establish the breast lift plan that will leave you feeling more beautiful and confident.
Different Types and Techniques
In order to give women of all shapes and sizes their personally desired result, we implement a handful of different breast lift techniques so that you can find the surgery that is right for you. No matter which one you choose, all of the techniques involve some sort of incision, but vary in terms of what extent. Some of these different methods include:
- The Crescent lift procedure involves a small incision and is used for cases with minimal sagging. This technique, while not very common on its own, is often used to complement a breast augmentation procedure.
- The donut lift procedure is a surgery chosen in cases where there is little to mild amounts of sagging being addressed. It involves a making an incision that will leave a single scar, but improve the look and feel of your breasts.
- The vertical lift is highly beneficial to women who have experienced moderate sagging. This procedure also corrects mild issues when it comes to reshaping and resizing the breast. This is commonly used by recently pregnant women and those who have lost a significant amount of weight.
Inverted T/Anchor Lift
- The most drastic issues are generally corrected by the Inverted T lift. This procedure is used to make dramatic improvements in shape, as well as reducing the most severe cases of sagging. This technique is used for many of the most impactful breast lift surgeries.
What can I expect to happen before and after my breast lift surgery?
Our pre-op process involves either general or local anesthesia with intravenous sedation, which will keep you from feeling pain during the procedure. A normal breast lift surgery only takes about two hours, which means that you should be able to return home the same day. Post-op involves the application of a surgical bra that will facilitate a fast and safe healing process. You should expect moderate levels of swelling and soreness after the surgery, but those symptoms should subside after a few days. Additionally, pain medication can be prescribed to reduce uncomfortable soreness. Within about a week’s time, you should be able to return to everyday life and enjoy your newly rejuvenated figure.
