Two Days After Plastic Surgery
So far, today has been a really great day! I slept so much better last night. My pain has probably gone from a 9.5 yesterday, to an 9 today. I’m still taking my pain medication every 4 hours, even in the middle of the night. I don’t set an alarm to get up and take it, but my body knows when it’s ready.
I finally got to take a shower this morning and it was a bit challenging, but the end result was amazing. My husband has been so patient and kind, I’m so lucky to have him by my side. My kids have been pretty good over the last two days as well. They seem to understand they need to tone it down a bit. My 5-year-old did, unintentionally, kick me a few times yesterday. That stung a bit, but I made it through and can smile about it.
One of my friends dropped off a bunch of food last night, and it was so appreciated! Not having to plan and worry about dinner is a huge, unexpected bonus. My family hasn’t eaten this well since Thanksgiving! I have big expectations from a recovery standpoint for this weekend since I’m hoping to go to work for a few hours Monday. I will keep you posted.
