Why a Real Brazilian Butt Lift Is So Much Better Than the Brazilian Butt Lift Cream Craze
Why a Real Brazilian Butt Lift Is So Much Better Than the Brazilian Butt Lift Cream Craze
In case you haven’t heard, the latest cosmetic craze to hit the market claims to be a Brazilian butt lift in a jar. That’s right, butt lift creams are popping up all over the place, claiming to offer surgical results without the surgery. But is this a classic case of being too good to be true? Is there any real evidence standing behind these creams? Here’s everything you need to know about butt lift creams and why they just won’t give you the results you’re looking for.
What’s Behind the Butt Lift Cream Craze?
While the vast majority of these creams that claim to give your butt a boost don’t actually disclose their full ingredient list (hint: red flag), the supposed idea behind them is that they stimulate collagen production, thus helping your body regenerate skin cells in the application area. But even if these creams do contain collagen-stimulating ingredients, such as vitamin A, C, and E, there is no scientific evidence that they can eliminate cellulite or plump your buttocks.
The problem lies primarily with their topical application. Because both cellulite and a butt lift have to do with the fat stored underneath the skin, these concerns simply can not be reached without a surgical procedure that can access that area of stored fat. While it is true that certain vitamins can be beneficial for the skin, these can only act on a surface level, rather than penetrating to the underlying fat. (ABC News, Dermato Endocrinology)
What Is a Brazilian Butt Lift?
While topical creams and other alternatives may be tempting, in the end, they can end up just being a wasted expense. So if these creams really can’t give you a butt lift, what are your other options? In truth, a surgical butt lift procedure is the only proven method that can offer the lifted, more contoured look that many people want.
A Brazilian butt lift is actually a two-step procedure. First, excess fat is removed from another area of the body via liposuction. Then, that fat is purified and reinjected into the buttocks, creating very natural-looking, feeling, and moving results. Typically, this procedure first removes fat from the thighs or abdomen, so many women find that it creates dramatic results that address their overall physique, and not just their backside. It’s also very easy to control just how much of a boost you get, so even if you’re just looking for very subtle results, these can be achieved through a butt lift. Buyers Beware
There truly are countless creams and other gimmicks out there claiming to do all sorts of things, from nonsurgical butt lifts to breast augmentations. Many of these products even come with exercise videos or garments designed to help you contour your body without requiring surgery. But the truth is that if you really want surgical results, a surgical procedure will be necessary. However, thanks to advancements in technology and a much broader social acceptance of plastic surgery, cosmetic procedures are much more accessible and affordable than they once were.
If the shape and/or size of your body is contributing to low self-esteem and a poor body image, plastic surgery really can help many people regain their self-confidence and find an improved quality of life. If you’re considering a Brazilian butt lift or other cosmetic procedure, it can be a good idea to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon, who can listen to your needs and goals and help you determine if plastic surgery may be right for you.
At Premier Plastic Surgery & Dermatology in Pittsburgh and Wexford, our highly skilled board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Brian Heil would be happy to meet with you one-on-one to design a surgical plan that will meet your goals and give you the natural-looking results you want.
