Michelle’s First Workout Post Surgery
Monday morning started out on a positive note. Prior to my surgery, I would do a Jillian Michaels video one to two times a week in the morning before work. My husband would occasionally join me. Her workouts are pretty hard (for me), but I always felt great afterwards. My husband suggested to me Sunday night that we get back into the routine of our morning workouts. I was not sure how this would work considering it’s still an effort to sit, but I decided it was time to get back on schedule.
We woke up an hour earlier than what we have been and went downstairs to get started. My life is now full of ‘modifications’ and this was no different. I basically walked in place for 30 minutes. Believe it or not, I felt great afterwards and was so happy with myself. We are going to keep this momentum going at least twice a week.
Today was our dermatologist, Dr. Busquets’, first day back in the office from maternity leave. It’s so great to have her back. The day seems to fly by. However, someone brought in a ‘Welcome Back’ cookie cake… Of course, I helped myself to this. I have absolutely no discipline when it comes to sweets. I consider this a setback, but I can’t harp on this. I just have to do better tomorrow.
