Michelle’s Big Day Arrives!
When people say they feel like they got run over by a truck, I can relate. However MY truck not only ran me over, it backed up over me, then ran me over again.
The whole experience yesterday at Premier Plastic Surgery Ambulatory Surgical Center was perfect. Upon my 6:45 a.m. arrival, Lori greeted me with a warm, cheerful attitude. From there, I signed my name to, no less than, 50 pages of consents. I then got changed, answered some health questions, and got ‘marked’ by Dr. Heil. Right after that, I had my IV put in and was wheeled into the operating room. A few hours later, I was sitting up drinking Ginger Ale with Lisa and Jan. No big deal! It wasn’t until the IV pain relief started to wear off around 3:00 p.m. that I started to feel pain.
The liposuction isn’t what’s bothering me the most right now, its the augmentation. I recall one of the 50 pages I signed stating the worst pain in within the first 24 hours. That’s a relief. My wonderful friend brought a huge, delicious dinner over for my family. However, I dined on Saltines and applesauce. Believe it or not, that did the trick. My other amazing friend brought an entire cooler of frozen peas, dips, protein bars, rice cakes, chips, and apple’s. It was the most impressive recovery ‘kit’ I have yet to see!
I really didn’t sleep much last night, so I’m hopeful tomorrow brings me less pain and more sleep!
