Michelle Inches Closer To Her Transformation
Tomorrow! Tomorrow! TOMORROW! Okay, I’m a little excited. So, I received my official surgery packet a few days back. A lot of really good information in there. Foods, herbs, vitamins, and medications to avoid. It also contained a lot of interesting information for my post care. I didn’t realize that breast augmentation is really a ‘breeze’ from a recovery standpoint. It’s the liposuction that’s going to hold me back a bit. No driving for two days, until the anesthesia wears off. No bubble baths for two weeks, and no hot tubs or strenuous exercise for six weeks.
I’m all ready for this. I picked up all my prescriptions so I don’t have to stop on my way home. My surgical packet also included a ‘Pre-Operative Shopping List’, a suggestive list of items to purchase ahead of time to have at your convenience while home. Off to the store I went to buy Ginger Ale, Sprite, straws, multi-vitamin, tylenol, frozen peas, crackers, broth-based soups, applesauce, jello, and my favorite-PUDDING. However, I do feel the list was missing one key item-a BELL. How else is my husband going to know when I need him? So, I grabbed a bell, too.
I spoke with Jan, one of our Operating Room nurses, a few days back. She asked me a slew of questions regarding my health history, etc. She also suggested I cover my bed in old towels, shower curtains, and sheets. Just incase there is any ‘drainage’ from my wounds…ew. I appreciated her suggestion, though. Ready for Wednesday!
