Day Two of Work After Surgery
Day two at work was pretty much the same as day one. I made it through seven hours, so I stayed a little longer. Dr. Heil examined me and told me everything looked great. He is planning on removing my sutures from the liposuction Saturday.
I was sent home with a new breast band. I no longer need to wear the Ace bandage. THANK GOODNESS. I’m planning on having a burning ceremony for that bandage. I really hated wearing it. I was also sent home with a some new massaging instructions. I didn’t realize how important it is to constantly massage the implant area. It’s crucial for a nice outcome.
When I got home from work, I did some light housework and then planted myself on the couch for the night. My legs were pretty swollen. I think I may have overdone it a bit. As part of my post-op care, I have to massage the areas that were “liposuctioned”. If this is not done consistently, lumpiness will occur. My stomach, hips, and legs are black and blue so massaging is pretty uncomfortable. Since I do want the best possible result, I took a pain pill and massaged the areas for about 40 minutes. Everyday really is a little easier than the day before. I have absolutely no regrets and can not wait for a few more days to pass to see where I am and how I feel.
