About Ana Busquets, MD, FAAD

Dr. Busquets is a board-certified dermatologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology with areas of interest and expertise in skin cancer screening and treatment, mole evaluation, removal of benign skin lesions, adult and adolescent acne, rosacea, chronic skin conditions (psoriasis and eczema), hair and nail disorders, skin infections, and allergic and immune skin diseases. Other treatments include cosmetic procedures such as BOTOX® and Dysport® therapies, laser treatments, and dermal fillers. Dr. Busquets graduated with honors from Harvard University and completed her medical training at Northwestern University Medical School. Following medical school, Dr. Busquets completed her medical internship at University Hospitals of Cleveland/Case Western Reserve. She continued her post-graduate training at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in Dermatology where she served as Chief Resident. She moved here from Cleveland in 2009 after acting as an assistant professor at the MetroHealth Hospital/University Hospitals of Cleveland Dermatology clinics for three years, where she headed multiple residency training clinics.

Experience and Qualifications

Dr. Busquets is passionate about dermatology training, and this carries over to her interaction with patients with a focus on patient education. Dr. Busquets’ research interests include the evaluation of hair loss, laser and topical therapy for aging skin, and treatment options for scars. She has numerous published studies and book chapters that have been presented at academic meetings. Dr. Busquets is fully conversant in both English and Spanish.
