We're proud to announce the opening of Acqua Blu's Upper St. Clair location, offering Western Pennsylvania's newest and most sophisticated spa experience. From the moment you enter the spa, you will be surrounded by luxury - indoor waterfalls, glistening chandeliers, and sculptures from world-renowned artist Bill Mack. With this new location, Acqua Blu has embodied a sleek, contemporary feel with modern design elements everywhere you look - glass walls, natural stone tile, premium furnishings, and other designer touches.

Before your treatment, there's time to relax in the tranquility room, which includes two private waiting areas. Women and men are invited to slip into luxurious robes and slippers to await their treatment. While you begin your visit, be sure to sample a fresh cup of our complimentary signature refreshment - Belgian sipping chocolate. Your taste buds never had it so good!

The spa also includes a retail boutique carrying a varity of different premium skin care product lines. We have chosen to work with lines that are found in many exclusive, world-famous spas like the Four Seasons, Trump Tower, Ritz Carlton, and Canyon Ranch. In addition to these highly sought after products, our boutique sells an ever-expanding lineup of "unexpected treats" such as:

• Jeweled belts from Waverly
• Bulgari jewelry
• Custom-made Thai silk headbands (perfect to help you show off your smooth, radiant skin after your treatment)

The Acqua Blu Difference

Speaking of treatments, Acqua Blu's newest location will continue to build upon our commitment to offering a full range of safe, trusted procedures that deliver exceptional value and beautiful results. We now offer our exclusive Signature Blu treatment: Pearl Sensation Therapy. This exfoliating pearl treatment combines the seduction of black pearls on the face with the power of white pearls on the body to relax your spirit, hydrate your pores, and cover your skin with a beautiful pearly reflection.

As a physician-supervised medical day spa, we offer something no other spa in the area can: oversight by a board-certified plastic surgeon (Dr. Brian Heil ). In fact, unlike some other spas our physicians perform a large number of the cosmetic treatments we offer, including cosmetic laser and dermal filler treatments. This added level of expertise and safety reassures our clients that they are receiving quality care. And don't forget that Acqua Blu has been honored as a national training center for medical treatments and devices such as BOTOX® Cosmetic, Restylane® and ProLipo™, ProFractional™ from Sciton Laser.

As part of our new spa facility in Upper St. Clair, clients can shop for the latest and greatest in premium skin care products. We carefully select each product line to provide solutions for a wide variety of cosmetic concerns.

Hand-Selected Products

All the skin care products carried at Acqua Blu have been chosen by Dana Aulicino, MPM, practice administrator and Renee DiMatteo, spa director. "Every item on our shelves is there for one reason," says Dana. "We know that it works and will benefit our clients."

But what about the newest products or the hottest brands featured in this month's fashion magazines? "We're not going to follow the herd just to stay trendy," adds Renee. "Of course, we stay current on skin care advances and take the time to evaluate new products, but in our experience the latest hot product is not always what it's cracked up to be. We offer a product only if it's proven to be the best choice for the job."

Many clients wonder what exactly goes into evaluating new products to be included in the Acqua Blu lineup. Says Dana: "We follow a very exacting process. First, we scrutinize the manufacturer's claims and review any clinical research on the product. If it looks promising, our aestheticians 'field test' and compare it to the products we already carry. If the product stands up to their scrutiny, we introduce it into our spa services on a provisional basis. Once the product receives our top rating, we add it to our retail boutique and treatment rooms."

This evaluation process helps Acqua Blu offer products that reliably produce first-rate results. Acqua Blu's reputation as a clinical aesthetic facility and our founder's reputation as an ethical, board certified plastic surgeon are too valuable - to you and to us - to offer anything less.
