While the holiday season is one of the most joyous times of
the year,
it can also be the most frenzied. Shopping, cooking, entertaining,
wrapping gifts, decorating…our to-do lists seem to get longer
as the days grow shorter!
Why not put yourself at the top of your to-do list for a change?
Treat yourself to a rejuvenating aesthetic treatment or body
contouring procedure to add some special "sparkle" to your holidays.
No time? No problem! With today's advances in skin-tightening
technology, dermal fillers and other low- and no-downtime procedures,
you can be looking your youthful best in virtually no time (check
out some of the procedures below).
In this season of gift-giving, give yourself the present of
self-care. It's not being selfish - rather, it's an investment
in your own well-being
that enhances your confidence and self-esteem. And when we feel
good about ourselves, it seems to enlarge our capacity to be
there for others. Isn't that what the holidays are all about?
With thanks for your continued trust and confidence, and best
wishes for a happy, healthy and beautiful holiday season!

Body Contouring
Options to Help You
Slim Down for the Holidays
|
You've dieted. You've
worked out. And you've lost weight. But there's still an area
or two of stubborn body fat that just won't budge despite
your best efforts. And that special holiday outfit would fit
SO much better if those areas were just…gone.
Luckily, with the array of kinder,
gentler body contouring options now available, you can spot-reduce
localized areas of unwanted body fat faster and more easily
than ever before.
|
Ultrasound-assisted Liposuction (UAL)
Ultrasound-assisted liposuction works by using
ultrasonic energy to break up fat cells in certain areas and liquify
them, making them easier to suction off. The areas treated are usually
the flanks, back, hips, upper abdomen and areas where liposuction
may have been performed before.
ProLipo
This procedure uses a small cannula and laser energy
to liquify fat deposits so they can be easily suctioned away. It can
be used on virtually any area of the body.
Both of these safe and effective body-contouring procedures deliver
satisfying results with less downtime and a shorter recovery than
traditional liposuction, and there's less swelling, bleeding and bruising
- so you get back to your normal activities as quickly as possible.
These procedures can be performed in our fully equipped state-of-the-art
surgical suite (located in Cranberry) which is staffed with board-certified
anesthesiologists.
Want to look your best for the holidays (and slip into that party
dress with ease)? Call us today to schedule a consultation to discuss
the right body-contouring solution for you.

SkinTyte:
Firm and Tighten Skin
With A Non-surgical, No-downtime Treatment |
When
anti-aging creams aren't enough and surgery is too much, the
SkinTyte procedure may be the perfect solution for turning
back the clock on sagging skin.
Why Does Skin Get Lax?
As we age, collagen (the structural proteins in the skin that
give it its strength and resilience) levels decrease and skin
gets lax, resulting in the appearance of lines, creases and
wrinkles.
How Does SkinTyte Firm and Tighten Skin?
SkinTyte uses broadband light energy to heat tissue in the
deeper layers of the skin, causing collagen to contract and
stimulating new collagen production. The result? Firmer, tighter,
smoother and more youthful-looking skin.
|
No Downtime!
Because SkinTyte is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure, there
is virtually no downtime. Immediately following the treatment, you
may experience some mild redness and swelling, but this generally
subsides in just a few hours.
Does It Hurt?
No. SkinTyte is the next generation of skin-tightening technology,
and it has been refined so there is little to no discomfort.
What's Involved in Treatment?
Usually, a series of 2 to 4 treatments will be necessary to achieve
optimal results. Treatment can be repeated every 2 to 3 weeks, with
results seen gradually as new collagen is formed.
How Long Do Results Last?
While it depends on the individual patient's aging patterns, most
patients' results last about 2 years.
Want to Know More?
Schedule your consultation today…and start seeing firmer, more youthful
skin in the new year with SkinTyte!

| Plastic
Surgery Not Only Helps You Look Good But Feel Good, Too - and Research
Proves It! |
|
|
Want to give yourself a terrific gift
this holiday season? Consider this:
Several recent studies suggest that people who undergo
aesthetic enhancements - either through plastic surgery
or less invasive procedures - not only are satisfied with
how they look, but also feel better about themselves,
too.
|
- According to a report out of the University
of Florida, women who underwent breast augmentation saw a
sizeable boost in self-esteem and positive feelings about
their sexuality. This study looked at 84 women aged 21 to
57, assessing their perceptions of self-esteem and sexuality
before and after breast augmentation surgery.
- A study presented last year at the American Society of
Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) conference reported that a significant
number of patients stopped taking antidepressant medication
after undergoing plastic surgery.
- And a recent pilot study analyzed the relationship between
Botox injections and depression. The study involved patients
diagnosed with depression who were given a course of Botox
injections in a standard regimen to eliminate frown lines.
An amazing 90% of the patients reported that their depression
lifted after the treatments!
The Botox study suggests that facial expressions
may have a direct correlation to mood. In other words, when you
look happier, you feel happier.
And the other studies affirm what plastic surgeons have known all
along, which is that patients who undergo appropriate plastic surgery
feel good about themselves.
If you think only people with low self-esteem have plastic surgery,
think again. A person's overall level of body satisfaction has no
influence on whether she or he is interested in most forms of cosmetic
plastic surgery, according to a study published in the October journal
of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
"This study shows the majority of people who want plastic surgery
have a normal level of body satisfaction," says Richard D'Amico,
MD, ASPS president-elect. "We use the term 'look as good as you
feel' often and it is good to know this is why the average plastic
surgery patient has a cosmetic procedure. They are not, in fact,
suffering from low self-esteem."
So be good to yourself this holiday season. What better gift to
give yourself than a little "boost" that helps you look just as
good as you feel? You deserve it!

Peels Help Improve Skin's Appearance and Texture Without
Irritation |
|
Aging
and environmental assaults - including hormones, stress
and pollution - affect not only the way your skin
looks and feels, but also your skin's health. Plus,
daily exposure to ultraviolet light accelerates the
aging process and causes uneven pigmentation.
At Premier, we offer superficial and medium-depth
peels that penetrate below your skin's surface, transforming
skin cell functions at the cellular level and correcting
the damage within your skin. This triggers a therapeutic
cascade that makes your skin look and act younger
and healthier.
A Multitude of
Benefits
With chemical peels, you'll see improvement in:
-Fine lines & wrinkles
-Uneven skin tone
-Age spots
-Hyperpigmentation
-Acne
-Mild superficial scarring
-Sun-damaged skin
-Rough skin texture
-Mild skin laxity
SkinCeuticals Gel Peels
SkinCeuticals
Gel Peels are medically classed as light or superficial
peels. They offer light, refreshing and invigorating
exfoliation with no downtime. They're composed of
two distinctive peels with two different acids: glycolic
and salicylic acids.
Light chemical peels exfoliate and accelerate the
cell renewal process along with stimulating collagen
synthesis, and they improve elastin fibers in the
dermis. The safe, non-invasive procedure reveals a
more youthful and radiant appearance. SkinCeuticals
Gel Peels can help visibly soften fine lines and wrinkles,
improve skin tone and texture, reduce symptoms of
oiliness, and diminish the appearance of blemishes.
The gel peels are perfect for photo damaged and sensitive
skin, and ideal for those individuals who can't spare
the time to recover from a TCA peel.
For optimal results, SkinCeuticals Gel Peel may used
as a companion treatment for other procedures including
microdermabrasion and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) treatments.
TCA Peels
TCA peels are medically classed as superficial to
medium peels. They are stronger than glycolic or salicylic
acid peels, and tend to be recommended for more difficult-to-treat
skin conditions. Fine surface wrinkles, superficial
blemishes and pigment problems are commonly treated
with TCA.
What's the next step?
Chemical peels are a quick and well-tolerated treatment
which doesn't involve any surgery. If you want to
